Design + Wellbeing is the theme of my project. This project is to raise awareness of public health.


Mission: Improve human health and wellness through the design of the built environment.


The goal of this project that I have chosen is Physical Activities which explore the opportunities of having physical activities experience to help to reduce the risk of chronic disease and other health problems.


WHAT IS PHYSICAL ACTIVITY?

It is a body movement that works your muscle and required more energy than resting. There are 3 main types of physical activity and example:

There are a lot of benefits that we can get when we are having a physical activity like reduce the risk of suffering diseases, strengthen our heart, maintain body weight, and improve our sleeping quality, bone & musculoskeletal health.


My main focus target user will be the student in college because our site is located at INTI College. The issue that I focus on is the normal health problem that students usually faced which is back pain and shoulder pain. This is because students are sitting on a chair for a long time and sit in an incorrect position like bending their back. And a lot of us are busying with doing homework and forgot to have a physical activity to relax our body. The effects of it are hip pain, spinal disease, overweight, and will have a poor concentration in class.

Through these statistics, we can see that there is only 17.4% of students involve themselves in sports programs.


So, how can we solve the issues? First, stronger our muscle and abdominal muscles to give support to our back which can improve our sitting posture also. Other than that, we also can increase the flexibility aids in movement and exercise boosts natural endorphins in the body.
