MATERIALS FINDING

Flooring Laminate wood flooring, concrete floor and floor tiles are been used in this space. 2 colours (Light and dark) of Laminated Wood Flooring (from Floor Depot) is been used to separate the area and it is easy to maintain and it is bacteria-free.

The concrete floor is for exhibition and floor tiles are being used in the washroom area.

Sound-Absorbing Panel Sheet

Polyester Board Polyester Fiber Acoustic Board Sound-Absorbing Panel Sheet is used in the Chatbox area. It is a material that does not produce harmful substances, 100% polyester and it is an environmentally friendly new material.

Standard size : 2420mm x 1220mm Thickness:8.5mm, 9mm, 12mm, 25mm

Benefits: easy to cut with a knife easy to maintain with vacuum cleaners/feather dusters

The Chatbox is the area that will have more people going in and out, so it located in the middle is to separate the people from this area to scatter the crowd in all directions.

The layout of the exhibition is to control the flow of visitors in one direction to avoid getting cars with others.

PERSPECTIVE

First view when customers enter the centre. The wall pattern is inspired by the surface texture of the chrysalis to create a flashing effect. And the slogan on the wall represents what the centre wants to achieve.

The reception counter, the wall pattern behind the counter is created by the texture of the butterfly metamorphosis. It represents the inner beauty of the butterfly and also can be defined as everyone is special and has their strength. The ceramic tile on the counter as the decor is inspired by the texture of the caterpillar.

Waiting area and message corner. In this area, there is a wall full of words that relate to empowerment which can let customers know more about empowerment. Beside the waiting area, there is a big screen mounted on the wall. This screen will show the messages that were posted by previous visitors. Through posting and reading, visitors can get inspiration or encouragement from it. The short cylinder tube is to avoid people falling down from the step.

Chatbox and workshop area. This is the room for 4 users to sit together with strangers and share stories with each other. The wall inside is painted with different sizes of shapes and colours to create a joyful environment. There will be quotes or sentences which can empower users and give courage to them to start the conversation. Then this is another space for 2 people who do not dare to talk in front of many people. The wall of it is inspired by the front view when a butterfly is flying. The rooms are covered with curtains to make space not feel too compact and the user can feel more comfortable in conversation.
