Today we are having a small workshop after the tutorial. We have randomly picked a character and mine is the grandpa in Simpsons. He is an old man who is achy and sometimes a bit grouchy. He has trouble getting around. He needs a cane when he is walking. He also has difficulty getting into and out of his chair, though he sits in his chair most of the day. Through this short description, I know that grandpa is having a problem with walking and he sits on the chair for a long day, so I decided to design a comfortable chair which is a bit bigger size with the wheel so he can get up from the chair easily or he no need to get up to get things.

After picked the story of character, we need to highlight 2 needs from the short description of the character. Then, we are going to build 5 iterations of our design using different materials which are drawing, cardboard, clay, wire and stick.

Through the process of drawing and making these 5 chairs, the materials that I enjoy working with the most is wire because it is easier to bend to the shape that I want although it is a bit hard to fix it. The material that I like the least is drawing... This is because I do not know how to draw and the time given is too short, I haven't think out an idea, the time has already gone half... In these 5 chairs, wire chair is the best expresses the essence of the chair that I drew.

In this process, I didn't change so many things because I have no time to think and the drawing already in my mind... I think I have to learn how to build a model in a faster way, know how to throw an idea so I won't keep thinking the same idea all the time.

I have stuck at any point because the time that given is too short and I am slow in doing things at all the time especially doing model... To avoid I keep stuck at there, I decide to make the model based on my feeling, try to not think about the models I did before.
