The flower is a kind of natural elements that we can see everywhere. But how about we say that flower also can be art also. In this modern city, we not only can see flowers in the garden but also in the wedding, graduation day, cafe and also the festival like Father's Day and Mother's Day.

Floristry is an art that already started since ancient Egypt (2800BC-28BC). But at that time, they only used flowers pattern as decoration for their events and temple offerings. After that, they started used flowers to decorate their house, clothes, wreaths and developed into bouquet like nowadays. They are using different flowers and style in each period but the flowers that were used in every period is roses and lilies.

Floristry is a production, commercial and trade in flowers. It includes flower care and handling, floral design, or flower arranging, merchandising, and display and flower delivery. Floristry is not just a hobby, but an occupation too. It is not an easy job because it needs a lot of skills and expertise especially the ability to care and preserve the flowers from all over the globe. This is because taking care of and preserve the flowers are important things for every florist. Other than that, they also need to know more about the symbol of each flower.

A flower is not only used for decoration, but it also can be a blessing for someone. People nowadays like to buy flowers as a present in celebrations, for example, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Graduation Day and Valentine's Day. There is no specific design for floristry, peoples now have professional skills and technique in producing a flower arrangement and design. They can actually fulfil your requirements. Another thing that needs to know is about the effects of lighting on floristry. As everyone knows, light can affect so many things like colours, texture, form and space. Different types of lighting also will affect the appearance of different colours of flowers.

As you can see from the table above, the flowers' colour does not change so much under the natural light, it appears a true colour and only some of the colours will look less heavy. Different types of lighting have to use in different area of the florist to create the best effect on flowers and environment.

In my opinion, I don't think that floristry will be eliminated in future. This is because nowadays a lot of people like to add some natural element in their house to get closer to nature's way of life. Not only this, flower can be as an element that cannot be lost in life. It can create an environment and on behalf of the word. Another thing is the cooperative object of flower art company is very broad, if soft outfit company, marriage celebrates a company, hotel, estate, the enterprise that a few have need flower to decorate or club, and the organization that most agency unit needs a green plant to rent a place or decorate can cooperate.

Maybe in the future people will feel there is no uniqueness if the style is unchanged. So, I think that floristry can try to partner with fashion design or interior design. As I know from history, flowers already used for clothes at that time, so that's still possible in the future. Maybe in future, floristry can be not just a shop that only sells flowers, it can combine with a cafe, so customer not only can enjoy the environment that surrounded by flowers, also can enjoy some food in there.
